Our Story

A Felton original since 2005

Evan Borthwick opened Redwood Pizzeria in 2005 with one idea: real pizza from real ingredients. The dough and marinara have been 100% organic and vegan since 2007, and we have been a Certified Green Restaurant ever since.

Inside you will find knotty-pine walls, rotating local drafts at the bar, and a life-size Bigfoot by the door, with a full-wall psychedelic mural out back, deep in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Locals call it a neighborhood gem, and travelers come back for it.

The pies we are known for

Every pizza starts with our organic, vegan dough and house marinara. Order a signature or build your own, up to six toppings.

  • The Redwood pizza, topped with pepperoni.

    Redwood

    Pepperoni, garlic, parmesan, and romano. The namesake, and a regular's regular.

  • The White pizza, a ricotta base with spinach and tomato.

    White Veg

    A creamy ricotta base, no marinara, with spinach, garlic, tomato, romano, and parmesan. The one reviewers rave about.

  • The Bigfoot pizza, spinach, red onion, and garlic.

    Bigfoot Veg

    Spinach, red onion, and garlic. Big, green, and a little mysterious.

Or build your own: pick a size, a base of organic marinara, white ricotta, or house basil pesto, and up to six toppings. Swap in vegan cashew cheese at no charge, or a gluten-free crust on any small pie.

Dine in, take out, or call ahead. Pull up a seat at the bar for a rotating local draft or a glass of organic wine, grab a table in the knotty-pine dining room, or settle in on the patio. Planning something bigger? Our private room seats up to 18.
